Lo-fi is back at the Union tonight with a packed lineup of local and interstate artists. I only managed to walk in towards the end of the night and caught the understated Small World Experience.
Small World Experience
Topping the billing tonight this 3 piece from Brisbane push out the often laconic slow-fi melantropic (OK I just made that up) tunes coming to you straight from the nineties. Find them at http://smallworldexperience.net/ and chat to them on https://www.facebook.com/smallworldexp.
The ambient mood was set tonight by a darkened stage, where the bands low drone pulls you into their gaze of melancholy propped up by an ever present jangle guitar running through songs that tell you of their quirky stories of day to day life.
No brown notes here, but maybe a brown dog…….woof.
