BAUHAUS – Roppongi, Japan

Just across the road from the Roppongi metro station in Tokyo there is a subtle set of stairs leading down into BAUHAUS – what has become one of Japan’s long established rock n roll dive bars.

The venue has a roster of talented musicians getting up as the house band playing five sets a night of hard rock karaoke style, then getting behind the bar and slinging you drinks.

The venue is usually filled with a mix of salarymen looking to wind down after a hard day’s work, die hard rock fans and a bunch of incidental tourist just having a blast. Anyone is welcome to choose from the extensive song list of classic rock hits from the 70’s onwards, get up and strut their stuff on stage and show their chops. Tonight was no different with power player’s stepping up to ham it up, sling an axe and shredding all over the stage.
